Bennett Tool and Die, a one stop source for metal working solutions including stamping, fabrication, value-added assembly, tooling & machining, has an opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative at our Kansas City, Kansas facility. This position will work in an office environment as well as travel up to 50% of the time visiting current and prospective customers. The desired candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and represent the company in a professional way. Job duties are as follows:

  • Schedule appointments and visit existing customers to review product needs and determining other opportunities
  • Develop customer relationships to ensure Bennett Tool and Die is a valued supplier of choice
  • Secure new customers within a desired radius
  • Provide company's promotional materials to prospective customers
  • Give high level sales presentations to prospective customers
  • Contribute to the Bennett Tool and Die market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from customers
  • Learn and utilize all product availability, use, benefits and pricing structure
  • Stay current and up to date on customer market trends and new product(s)
  • Utilize corporate resources as required to nurture new accounts and retain existing accounts
  • Work closely with Inside Sales for support

Desired Skills

  • Ability to cold call and accept rejection on a frequent basis

Required Items

  • Must be legally able to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to successful pass a background screening, pre-employment drug and alcohol test
