  • Sales Marketing and Education (SME)
  • In conjunction with senior management from both the customer and SHC, develop and execute a SME plan for area of responsibility that aligns with overall company objectives.
  • Achieve sellout goals for geographical area
  • Create and maintain a Sales, Marketing and Education calendar for geographical territory in conjunction with National and Customer Specific plans
  • Monthly status report
  • Administering the expense budgets in accordance with the SME plan
  • Utilize Sales Tracking System to maximize growth opportunities and track KPI/target accomplishment
  • Identify growth opportunities in the market
  • Accomplish KPI/target activities established by company to support positive sellout Sales/Planning Meetings
  • Plan and conduct regular sales and education meetings with distributor partner as well as plan and participate in Chain Account Sales Meeting, Chain Planning Meeting and Education Events in partnership with Distributor which includes Account Executives and Distributor Sales Management team
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with distributor partner team members
  • Support priority target group chains identifying opportunities for new account openings and sales in partnership with the Distributor Sales Group
  • Conduct field activities, education, events, customized promotions and events for growth support
  • Manage time, resources and funds for overall territory Key Accounts in Market
  • Identify and target key chains in geographical area and development of activities to gain business.
  • Maintain an active target list by geographical territory
  • Detailing support and salon visits to open new accounts
  • Plan, coordinate and/or conduct regular trainings for key account staff members
  • Do regular key account visits to ensure the following Full brand representation
  • Proper in line shelf and end-cap merchandising.
  • Auditing of staff knowledge and subsequent needs
  • Development of relationships with key chain accounts Education/Experts
  • Recruit, train and deploy Experts in partnership with Education Department
  • Execute successful Chain Account education events including but not limited to In-Salon Classes, Cluster Trainings, Sales Meetings and Special Education Events.
  • Work with Education Department in executing Chain Account Regional Show, Events, National Conferences


  • An experienced Sales manager with 5 or more years in the beauty industry.
  • A university or college degree preferred but not required when applicant has strong industry experience.
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit while operating within corporate guidelines.
  • Be a solutions oriented individual to work with multiple customers: Distributor Buyers, Distributor Managers and Sales Staff
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to create strategic business plans.
  • Must have strong analytical skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be proficient in word, excel and power point.
  • Travel requirements Up to 70% travel, 50% out of town and 20% local.
  • Subject to change based on seasonal activities such as shows and corporate events.
