Job Description
In this role you will get to work with cutting edge technologies designed for the latest AI applications. You will gain exposure to a diverse range of functions including software/firmware/hardware development, product design, silicon technologies, and algorithms. You will also be interfacing and supporting our leading efforts in Generative AI in bringing accessibility to AI a reality. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of embedded software & programming, deep knowledge of camera systems and video processing, a strong grasp in AI/ML topics and experience communicating cross-functionally and directly with customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activity in North America
- Work with prospective customers & partners to understand product requirements and guide them through the evaluation process from component selection to software design choices.
- Train customers on the use of Ambarella technologies, reference designs, and SDKs.
- Field questions and support issues raised by customers - be the liaison between customers and internal engineering teams.
- Proactively engage in learning and researching technologies and solutions used by customers and provide feedback to internal teams to improve product offerings.
- Support marketing and business teams in new AI product developments.
- Serve as technical guide to marketing and business development teams.
- Work with various internal engineering teams and/or third-party solution providers to design and implement proofs-of-concept and demos that showcase Ambarella technologies.
- Setup and present demos at trade shows and on-site at customer facilities.
- Manage and coordinate ongoing projects with the SDK team, field support team, and ODMs
- Regional and international travel, approximately 20 - 30%
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in CS/EE or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as SE, AE or FAE
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with embedded systems in the semi-conductor industry. Experience with video systems is highly preferable.
- 5+ years Linux development experience
- 5+ years C/C++ programming experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in video technology, digital imaging, image signal processing is highly preferable.
- Experience with computer vision, machine learning, Gen AI, LLMs, is a plus.
- Experience in scripting languages (shell, Python) is a plus.
- Good understanding of connectivity solutions (WiFi, Bluetooth etc.)
- Program Management skills are highly desired
- Hybrid position – working in the office 2 to 3 days a week
The base salary range is $162,000 - $176,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. We also offer new hire RSU grants and the opportunity for annual RSU grants, as well as other highly competitive benefits.
