Position Summary:
The Events & Catering Manager will oversee, selling, planning, budgeting and executing group events
catered and on-premises by Hill Top Hospitality. Your responsibilities will include marketing such
business to event planners, venues, corporate or non-profit entities, or other principals or
representatives of potential catered or on-site events. Timely and clear communication with clients
and/or their representatives, as well as your colleagues, will be important to produce successful events
from first contact through completion and follow-up. Likewise, working hand-in-hand with the front-of-
house management team, culinary team and local vendors and meeting planners will be a critical part of
the process.

Your Responsibilities:
Sell the private dining and catering experience to potential guests by cultivating marketing
plans, cold calling, set-up meetings and other ways to grow the business.
Generates private dining sales across all market segments
Is responsible for the development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the
necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable operation
Creates and oversees prospecting strategies, conducts outside sales calls, sales blitzes, and other
related activities targeted at growing revenue in private dining
Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions,
communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work
environment, and ensure development of a successful sales strategy.
Schedule site visits and provide assistance to any walk-in clients, insuring each guest leaves with
a positive impression.
Develops relationship with local vendors
Attends all major trade and hospitality functions to promote sales
Lead all event planning meetings and discussions.
Effective, prompt and detailed communication with all clients.
Ensure all event inquiries are responded to within 24-hours.
Coordinate completion of the event contract.
Produce a Banquet Event Order and Contract with all details written clearly to the client at a
minimum of two-weeks prior to the event.
Properly coordinate and facilitate all financial transactions from initial deposit to final payment.
Works closely with both Culinary and Front of House teams to optimize dining space
Communicate clearly and timely with the culinary team, to assist in the production of the event.

Be present when needed at events.
Connect with the local community. Consistent outreach to the community to build the client
base. To include, site visits, cold calls, networking events, and more.
Drive the catering business of Hill Top Hospitality. Take ownership of the position, and sell the
space with professionalism and transparent communication.
To be respectful of all guests, associates and vendors that you work with.
Assist in associate event tip out procedures.
Ensure proper scheduling and staffing for all events.
Flexibility: Your schedule may vary (days, nights, weekends, holidays) based on seasonality, covers, and hours of operation. In general, you can anticipate working 50 to 55 hours a week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
