Cambria is currently looking for a full-time, Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the recruitment efforts of our admission team. The Director of Sales and Marketing will be primarily based out of our Surrey head office and will be required to visit other locations in the Lower Mainland as well as our location in Victoria.
OBJECTIVE:
To ensure that the good standing of the College is maintained with integrity and reliability in relation to the teaching standards, materials, and infrastructure relevant to all stakeholders. To work as part of the College’s management team providing leadership and guidance on all facets of operations, program delivery and compliance for the staff of their assigned location. To lead by example and create a workplace and educational environment that is an embodiment of the College’s mission statement and values. To be both creative and logical in decision making while prioritizing the interest of the College’s students, its staff, programs and the institution as a whole. To be an ambassador of Cambria College.
ROLE:
The Director of Sales and Marketing is the designated sales manager for the entire college, responsible for leading the domestic admissions (sales) team in achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales and enrolment targets. They will also hold a critical role in the development and execution of marketing strategies for lead generation as well as collaborating with senior management on business development opportunities with external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
· Meeting planned sales goals.
· Setting individual sales targets with the admissions team.
· Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
· Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
· Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
· The ongoing training of the admissions team.
· Developing the admissions team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
· Promoting the organization and products.
· Understand Cambria’s ideal students and how they relate to our products.
· Addressing staffing needs of admissions team with support of senior management.
- Building partnerships with organizations outside Cambria College for the purpose of establishing training agreements and programs.
- Management of brand awareness and lead generating marketing strategies. This includes in-house as well as vendor based marketing strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 4 - year Post-Secondary Degree preferred
· Minimum of 2 years work experience in an educational setting is preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of sales/recruitment experience, preferably in an education setting
· An incredible work ethic and a positive outlook

DUTIES:
· Support all operational expectations and initiatives of the organization
· Build and support a team culture where all admissions advisors want to, and are supported in making a difference to people’s lives through relevant and quality education opportunities
· Ensure that there is a campus work environment and culture that brings out the best in staff and students, where all individuals feel valued and respected, where success is celebrated, and people have fun.
· Ensure that all admissions advisors contribute to, understand and achieve performance targets including sales, booking rates, referral rates, and conversion rates
· Proactively identify student recruitment priorities and execute appropriate campaigns to achieve enrolment targets
· Ensure appropriate coverage needs are properly communicated and addressed in a time sensitive manner
· Monitor the utilization of the College’s CRM by the admission team to ensure protocols and procedures are adhered to for accurate reporting.
· Act as a point of contact with third party marketing vendors for admissions/lead generation
· Have a comprehensive understanding of all regulatory standards as it relates to student recruitment. This includes knowledge of PTIB policies, EQA policies, Student Aid BC/Student Loan policies, Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
· Support and work in partnership with Campus Directors to ensure student records are maintained within compliance of the regulatory standards of the Private Training Institutions Branch (of BC), Student Aid BC, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and any other applicable program regulatory body
· Support and work in partnership with Campus Directors on achieving enrolment targets for specific locations
· Participate in career and hiring fairs when necessary
· Facilitate admission performance audits (ie. secret shoppers) at least twice a year to assess performance of advisors
· Prepare and deliver probationary as well as annual performance reviews for all admissions staff
· Ensure all admissions advisors act in accordance with their job description
· Ensure all admissions advisors recruit students on the foundations of quality assurance, compliance, and ethical standards.
· Support graduates follow up campaigns in collaboration with Campus Director’s to gather employment statistics and promote Cambria’s referral program.
· Use College database to monitor trends in lead management and recruitment
· Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reports documenting location and advisor admissions performance to the Chief Operating Officer and ownership.
· Identify problems and formulate solutions based on experience, school policy and regulatory compliance.
· Provide emergency admissions coverage when necessary
