Remote Business Development Representative - Training & Internship

Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour
Position Type: Internal Internship, potential to turn into a part-time or full-time opportunity with Instant Teams or Instant Teams' customer
Hours: 20 Hours
Start Date: August 9
Program Length: 4-weeks, potential to turn into a part-time or full-time opportunity after internship
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Core hours: 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. HST

Overview of Training Internship

We've teamed up with the State of Hawaii to provide training internships. These opportunities are 4-weeks in length with the potential to continue on our internal or one of our customer's teams. This is an entry-level opportunity. Training is provided throughout the internship and you'll work closely with our Sales/Business Team to learn all that you would need to succeed in this position and beyond.

What is a Business Development Representative?

A Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key component to the sales team. A BDR utilizes strategic prospecting to discover and generate new business opportunities, qualifies leads to hand off to account executives, and contributes to the sales process by achieving quota and KPI goals.

General BDR Guidelines/Responsibilities:

  • General core hours of availability: Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. HST
  • Perform activities that generate new business opportunities
  • Analyze appropriate market reports to determine trends and opportunities for new business
  • Create a list of targeted companies for intentional outreach
  • Utilize strategic prospecting and our ideal customer profile to identify potential customers
  • Develop a plan for prospecting and build an outreach cadence
  • Curate custom content in the form of videos, email and LinkedIn messages
  • Conduct initial outreach and prospect qualification calls
  • After conducting a qualification call and identifying qualified lead, the BDR will sync with an account executive to follow up and determine is the lead is a sales qualified lead
  • Success is measured by quota attainment, KPI performance, sales qualified leads handed off to Account Executive (AE)
  • Report to the Director of Sales

  • These roles are entry-level and those who succeed are coachable and ready to learn

Program Requirements:

  • Access to working computer – laptop or desktop
  • Access to reliable internet - you will need 2.0 Mbps or more for up and down speeds at minimum to support video calling
  • Capability of watching and participating in course video assignments
  • Ability to commit to a maximum of 20 hours per week for a 4-week period for the training internship and up to 40 hours per week with Instant Teams after successful internship completion
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are able to commit and are looking for employment of 20+ hours per week as our opportunities typically lean to full-time (20-40 hours per week) for successful program outcomes

Program Outcomes:

  • Achieve the following Certificates:
  • Internship Certificate (Showcasing 80 hours of training)
  • Business Development Training Certificate
  • Work Remote Certification
  • Remote employment opportunities with Instant Teams as a Business Development Representative working a minimum of 20 hours per week up to 40 hours, full-time. Top candidates will be offered roles working directly with the Instant Teams sales team. All others will work with our Recruitment Team to be matched for employment.
