Job Description:

A Sales Executive job is to build CIT business by identifying and selling to new prospects. This role is responsible for the discovery and pursuit of new sales prospects and negotiating deals. Sales Executives must have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable reaching out to potential customers to demonstrate our services and products via cold calling, networking and social media methods. CIT expects that you represent the organization in a professional and ethical way in all your client and coworker engagements.

This is a hunting role. Sales Executives are expected to continuously cultivate new opportunities through high-volume prospecting activities. A successful Sales Executive will participate in all aspects of the sales and marketing process to acquire new accounts and grow CIT market share with strong and dynamic relationship-building skills. Sales Executives need to be highly organized and detail oriented, with exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Sales Executive will plan, develop and execute sales strategies to meet an established new client acquisition quota. Prior to the sale being finalized, they will introduce a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) that will foster the relationship even further. Other duties include maintaining account records for forecasting reports and sales pipeline.

It is important for Sales Executive to stay on top of new developments in their industry, so you will regularly attend training sessions, conferences and trade shows. At times, Sales Executives may be called upon to conduct market intelligence on competitors’ activities, including product or service pricing and sales techniques. Making sales presentations to potential customers are required.

The Sales Executives work in a corporate office setting. A standard 40-hour week is typical, but flexible hours and overtime may be necessary to meet new client quota goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new business opportunities related to selling CIT solutions to new customers (80%) Develops sales leads, call on prospective customers (in-person and via phone). Maintains updated client account details in CIT’s ConnectWise CRM software. Provides information about company products and services and closes opportunities to meet new client acquisition quotas. Works closely in developing solutions and sales strategies with key manufacturers such as Microsoft, Dell, HP, VMware, etc.

  • Administrative tasks (20%) Completes various administrative reports on expenses, special projects, sales forecasting in a timely manner and updates the customer contact database.

  • Cold calling and prospecting

  • Prepare strategic plans regarding daily activities, lead generation, customer contact, and structure of calls/appointments/follow-ups

  • Duties include maintaining customer account records in CIT software platforms

  • Customer record maintenance

  • Customer opportunities and activities

  • Completing weekly and monthly forecasting and pipeline reporting

  • Develop Quarterly Marketing Campaigns with CIT Marketing Department

  • Networking with manufacturer and distribution partners, clients and professional organizations

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options

  • Develop new business opportunities with all types and sizes of businesses and organizations. Maintain knowledge and understanding of the client’s business to recognize sales opportunities

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities that you can convert to closed sales

  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media Develop Quarterly Marketing Campaigns with CIT Marketing Department

  • Sign up new clients by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects

  • Set up meetings with potential clients

  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services

  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections

  • Maintains current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

  • Periodically attend trade shows and user group meetings to interact with industry experts and network with customers

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Collaborate with team members to achieve better results

  • Build strong personal and professional relationships with prospects and clients

  • Represent CIT’s people, culture, and values in the market

  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy

  • Performance Expectations: The position reports to the Marketing & Business Development Manager and has four primary performance objectives:

  • Sales Meetings: You are required to create phone and face-to-face meetings with highly qualified prospects (20+ per month)

  • Contacts: You will make an average of 50-75 calls/e-mails per day to prospects articulating the benefit of our services portfolio and addressing questions and concerns from potential customers

  • Database Generation: You will maintain a quality database of qualified prospects that will support broader corporate marketing and lead nurturing efforts

  • New Client Accounts: You are required to produce 50 net new CIT Clients

  • Overall Team Performance to Goal: You will support team activities required to achieve sales targets



Qualifications:

  • Capable of working in corporate office setting with a 40-hour workweek

  • Proficiency in English

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role

  • Sales: 3 years (Preferred)

  • B2B Sales: 3 years (Preferred)
