About the Team

DoorDash is looking for someone (Manager or Senior Manager level) within Sales Strategy- Sales Planning & Incentives, to lead teams to help determine our sales planning roadmap, improve sales productivity and accomplish our goals.

About the Role

DoorDash is looking for someone within Sales Strategy - Sales Planning & Incentives umbrella, to lead teams to help establish our sales planning roadmap, improve sales productivity and build our goals. You will report into the Director of Sales Planning within the Sales Planning & Incentives organization.

In this role within the Sales Planning team, you will combine strategic planning and analysis with operational execution. Responsibilities will range from strategic (designing incentives in consideration of our goals and strategy, and building agreement among sales leadership) to operational/tactical (setting quota and OKRs, driving plan implementation and ensuring metrics can be communicated and tracked). You will bring insights using analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales incentive programs globally while building partnerships, promoting open dialogue and creative insights expertise to issues in real time.

  • Work with sales leadership, sales strategy, finance, and HR/legal teams to oversee the development and administration of all sales incentive structures
  • Work with partners (product, finance, sales, or sales operations) to develop complex forecast models that improve the sales organization's goals
  • Assess our performance, run diagnostics and achieve data-driven recommendations on ways to improve output
  • Set and track to accurate quota targets across different Sales Organizations that align with our strategic topline goals
  • Work with product managers and sales leadership to ladder sales goals into company and product goals
  • Track completion towards sales goals, diagnose issues and implement incentives strategies to grow the business
  • Translate data into narratives to present to partners
  • Create compelling and accurate visualization reports that track sales commissions while providing insights into performance
  • Focus on improving standardization and automation of all processes to do with quota, incentive design and completion/commissions tracking
  • Become the expert on sales data, sales incentives, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers for each team we support
  • Manage a small team of sales planners/analysts

Qualifications

  • 6-10+ years of experience in any of the following fields: sales/business planning, strategy & operations, business consulting, analytics
  • Experience leading projects, hitting goals, and succeeding
  • Experience delivering applicable recommendations out of complex datasets; advanced SQL and Salesforce
  • You have experience working with sales organizations
  • You have experience with sales incentive design
  • You have experience with Incentive Management tools (e.g. Anaplan)
