The primary role of the Carrier Sales Representative is to provide unparalleled customer service in alignment with our core values. Carrier Sales Representatives are key to our organization as they offer carrier management and grow carrier capacity in support of our Truck Brokerage growth initiatives. Carrier Sales Representatives utilize their experience to provide simple solutions for complex problems.

Essential Functions:
Represents Intelligent Logistics, LLC. services through offering unparalleled customer service.

  • Grows our revenue and client base through building effective relationships that expand our Truck Brokerage business.
  • Leads the development of carrier relationships in North America.
  • Handles carrier database management through utilizing our best-in-class technology platforms effectively and routinely.
  • Identifies strategic client opportunities by understanding our business, the truck brokerage market and our client’s needs.
  • Champions effective negotiations through a deep understanding of client needs while ensuring win/win solutions.
  • Focuses on the daily obtainment of the departmental measurable accountabilities/ KPI’s as assigned, understands the strategic vision (quarterly/annual) and works creatively to maximize results.
  • Creatively handles shipment obstacles by offering effective, innovative and proactive solutions in an environment of rapid change. Escalates to management as appropriate.
  • Supports other Truck Brokerage departmental tasks as assigned.

Key Criteria/Requirements:
Prior industry experience (2-4 years) in the truck brokerage/carrier environment or similar industry experience is required. College degree is a plus. Proven negotiation skills and ability to take calculated risks independently is required. Should be able to work in a fast/demanding work environment. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to be reliable, professional and punctual. Capable of setting an exceptional standard in customer service.
FLSA status: Non-Exempt
Physical Requirements: Position requires: ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is low.
