Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to lead commercial activities and drive prospects of new business opportunities, with prior experience in the life sciences / biotechnology industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

As part of a lean, dynamic team in an emerging, fast-paced environment, the candidate’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop marketing strategies, proposals and presentations; Attend client meetings, trade shows and conferences to expand new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Drive existing and new short/medium/long-term sales pipeline; Perform market research to pursue trend and customer needs
  • Build strategic partnerships, as well as technology and intellectual licensing opportunities
  • Manage company’s day-to-day aspects of finance and accounting related reconciliation, closing and reporting
  • Organize, track, document and report on the status of all prospects in the business development pipeline

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or science; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 2+ years with successful track record in sales/marketing/negotiation; Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical field preferred
  • Excellent business/strategic acumen, strong organizational, analytical, budgeting and digital marketing skills
  • Experience with CRM and accounting software
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Proven ability to plan and manage resources to achieve business goals
  • Disciplined and effective trouble-shooting, problem solving, multi-tasking skills with strong work ethic; Attention to detail and accuracy

Key Accountabilities  * Create customer success plans to drive growth for each account  * Support solution design and technical implementation of current desired integrations as outlined in the customer success plan. * Monitor user adoption and product utilization and create targeted programs to increase engagement and support the agency's change management process. * Build strong relationships between the Miovision product and support teams to ensure continuous resolution of ongoing operational issues as well as product deficiencies that may come up.  * Participate in regular support and health checks to ensure accounts are continuing to derive value from our solutions * Support software renewal and upselling activities  Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level * 5+ years of technical experience; must understand network products * Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients * Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills * Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign * Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support * Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues * Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
