Founded in 2007, GIBBON is the world leader in slackline products and innovation. From Super Bowl halftime shows to Cirque du Soleil performances, GIBBON’s products have helped produce some of the best balance athletes in the world. GIBBON North America holds the exclusive license to sell GIBBON products throughout North America and has been growing exponentially since the 2022 introduction of the GIBBON SlackBoard (www.giboardus.com), the most dynamic and versatile balance training tool on the market.

GIBBON North America has sold more than 50,000 SlackBoards in less than 2 years and is on pace to grow more than 200% year over year in 2024. Our primary focus has been direct-to-consumer sales; however, we have sold a significant number of SlackBoards to professional users, including well-known physical therapists, athletic trainers, personal trainers and professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLS. Based on their feedback, it is clear that there is an opportunity to have GIBBON products in every physical therapy clinic, gym, and sports performance training center, along with schools at every level, across the country. This position presents a tremendous opportunity for the right person to shape the future of our company by expanding our presence in these key markets and driving growth across multiple business segments.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Director of Commercial Sales to develop and execute a comprehensive commercial sales strategy for our cutting-edge balance training tools. The Director of Commercial Sales will play a pivotal role in helping us penetrate new markets, increase revenue, and expand our product’s footprint in the physical therapy, sports performance and/or fitness channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, business development, and commercial sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive success across the physical therapy, sports performance, and/or fitness markets.
  • Create an actionable and detailed plan for scaling the commercial business, including resources required (head count & budgets) to achieve the defined goals.
  • Build and lead the team to meet and exceed targets for the commercial side of the business.

Business Development:

  • Foster relationships with existing partners, influencers and customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build strategic partnerships with distributors, key influencers, and organizations.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies including product positioning, branding, and content creation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the direct-to-consumer marketing team to maximize relationships, support sales initiatives and build brand recognition.
  • Collaborate on product development efforts to ensure the product pipeline meets market demands and sales feedback is incorporated into future offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a focus on physical therapy, sports performance, or fitness industries.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading successful sales teams.
  • Strong network within the physical therapy, sports performance, or fitness industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
