Sales and Marketing Manager
Sundance is a family owned and operated landscape company. We are looking for an organized sales and marketing manager to assist in the advertising and selling of our company's services. The sales and marketing manager's responsibilities include generating unique sales plans, creating engaging advertisements, emails, managing marketing events with AACM, CAI and BOMA, investigating industry pricing, and meeting marketing and sales goals. The sales and marketing manager represents the company's brand and drives strategies to increase service awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.
To be a successful sales and marketing manager, you should have strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. You should also possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing in our industry. You should be a self-starter and able to work independently and as a team. Must be creative with new strategies for sales in our market and able to effectively implement those strategies.
Sales and Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
- Promoting the company's existing brands and introducing new products and services to the market.
- Analyzing customers' budgets, preparing annual sales goals and plans, scheduling expenditures for marketing materials and events, and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.
- Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
- Once our business grows to multiple locations, recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing marketing and sales teams to meet sales and marketing human resource objectives.
- Maintaining relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
- Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
- Quality control tours of our work sites, create a report of items the employees need to take care of, send those reports to the Account Manager and work with them to make sure the work is completed. Check the properties for items that Sundance can send proposals for, so opportunities are not missed.
- Tradeshows and Luncheons, manage a schedule of all the industry events, communicate with the executives as to what we will be attending. Plant, organize and create the theme of the event if necessary.
- There will be a sales goal every quarter and once the benchmark is met, the employee will receive a percentage of the amount sold above the benchmark.
- Reports are created and provided to the executive team on a monthly basis.
Sales and Marketing Manager Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, mathematics, business administration, or related field. Not required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in marketing and sales. Not required.
- Experience working with our competitors or working in the landscape industry.
- Understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Team Player and willing to help where needed.
- Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
- The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Salary determined based off experience.
Employer Benefits:
- After 90 days the employee is eligible for health, dental and vision insurance. After being employed with Sundance for 1 year, Sundance will cover the employees’ health insurance at 100% and a percentage of their dependance insurance if applicable.
- After a year of employment, we offer a 401K plan.
- After a year of employment, you will receive two weeks of paid vacation.
- This position will allow for a company paid gas card to be used for work-related activities.
- Sundance may supply a vehicle for this position for the employee to take home.
- Sundance will pay a quarterly commission to the employee for any sales above the set benchmark.
