Job Description

The Industrial Sales Rep manages business development activities for the company driving sales activities and the acquisition of new business from key accounts & customers. The sales rep will work with the Operations Team to increase share of the market from current accounts and identify and acquire new key accounts. Essential Functions * Building the business within the region/area using a variety of sales techniques. * Seeking opportunities of higher-level sales asset & responsible for relationships at the highest level regionally (Regional Commercial Construction and/or Sector Focused) * Creating, negotiating and closing agreements. * Sector/End Market focused in activities * Building relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current spend. * Driving peak performance and sales success across the region. * You will be instrumental in devising and implementing the strategy for meeting sales performance targets. * Leverage market data and analytics to define effective value propositions * Act as the connective tissue between regional/area key accounts and Territory Account Managers to ensure maximum coverage in multiple territories. * Coordinate with various departments within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely fashion. * Be the subject matter expert for end market pursuit (Event, Industrial etc) * Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all products and services * Identify key projects and opportunities in the region/area from key accounts and work with operations to pursue and close. * Work closely with Sales VP and Management to create regional/area strategy for Key Account identification.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience * At least 5-7 years of related sales experience * Relevant industry background gained from a competitor or company in a related industry preferred. * Proven sales professional who is used to working to targets. * Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business. * Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads. * Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry. Skills * Strong PC proficiency (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.) * New business development * Customer Relationship development * Prospecting / Cold Calling / Referral generation * Customer Service * Teamwork with all sales channels and operations * Lead Sourcing * Closing and Negotiating * Time Management * Organization * Excellent follow up skills (leads, issue resolution, etc.) * Strong written and verbal communications * Decision Making and Problem Solving * Other required skills: Meeting Sales Goals, Motivation for Sales, Territory Management, Presentation Skills, Performance Management, Building Relationships, Emphasizing Excellence, Negotiation, Results Driven, Sales Planning, Managing Profitability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
