Account Executive

The ProductPlan sales team is a competitive but collaborative group! Successful reps are goal-driven and process-oriented product experts who are tenacious and coachable. You can expect regular coaching, constructive feedback, and a focus on professional development.

In this full-cycle, inside sales role, you’ll connect with product leaders, project managers, IT directors, and marketing managers who have opened online trials or engaged with our search-topping content. You’ll share valuable insight about roadmapping; demonstrate the ProductPlan solution; resolve objections; differentiate us from our competitors; coach customer champions to sell internally; and negotiate terms and conditions.

This position will be remote until we transition back into the Santa Barbara, CA office.

Position Responsibilities: *

  • Connect with prospects at different stages via phone, email, and social media
  • Meet goals related to pipeline management and recurring revenue bookings
  • Participate in side-by-side call coaching from your manager
  • Document your interactions with prospects
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about ProductPlan software
  • Competently discuss other technologies in our ecosystem, including those of our partners and competitors
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to refine messaging, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience in the SaaS industry
  • Coachable and able to learn quickly
  • Curious and intelligent
  • Possessing a strong work ethic
  • Able to demonstrate prior success and extraordinary achievement
  • Conscientious and detail-oriented
  • Not easily discouraged
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to thrive in a rapidly changing startup environment
  • Willing and able to share your “best practices” and learn from your mistakes
  • Experienced with cloud-based office software (i.e. Hubspot, Google Apps)
