Location: 100% Remote, prefer east coast

Job Description:
  • The Inventory Planner is a key member of an expert team of support analysts, focused on management and executing inventory planning processes.
  • The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the supply chain management function along with the ability to manage the function on a global level.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Global planning of reworkable and nonreworkable spares to support the TD logistics chain of new and existing products
  • New buy & repair recommendations to ensure initial availability of new spares & ongoing availability of existing spares while balancing the spares inventory investment (new buy purchases and repair spend) with maximization of field service.
  • Monitor spares forecast, backorders, fill rate, etc. and action as appropriate
  • Provide supplier forecasts for ongoing support of spares
  • Monitor and understand spares relationships based on engineering changes.
  • Work with Service Planning & 3PL to ensure loading and maintenance of the spares Oracle Item Master, cross reference, family management/item relationship and Recommended Spare Parts List based on engineering changes.
  • Monitor and review MASP from field planners to ensure spare availability
  • Work with Engineering, Service Planning, & CS on the availability, monitoring, and tracking of Field Retrofit Order & purge parts
  • Analyze Part Discontinuations for final buy recommendations and execution to ensure ongoing support of spares for 7 years past part/product discontinuation
  • Build relationship & understanding with Service Planning, Engineering, & GSC to better plan spares (usage increases/decreases, spare part relationships, spares testing requirements, FROs, Final Buys, Failure Analysis, etc.)
  • Work with field planners on part shortages & escalations to ensure timely resolution of issues and ensure adequate spares to support field issues
Skills & Attributes
  • The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable logistics resource with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to plan and organize
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of related experience
  • Practical knowledge of global inventory planning processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Business, Logistics or a related discipline. Experience in lieu of will be considered.
  • Logistics planning experience in Oracle Demantra, Oracle SPP, Servigistics, Xelus, or a related planning application (preferably globally)
  • Oracle experience
  • Experience analyzing data
