Eliot Management Group by Deluxe (EMG) has been in the merchant services business for 20 years. We have provided over 20,000 businesses, nationwide, with a unique combination of credit/debit card processing services, local one-on-one representation, and local support. EMG is rapidly expanding its national sales force. We specialize in providing quality products and services that are backed by 24/7 in-house customer service, as well as a full staff ready to assist and develop our growing sales teams.

The Tele Sales Specialist conducts outbound calling daily to represent the company to potential customers and prospects, solicits appointments and opportunities for prospects to meet with sales personnel regarding merchant services and products that support merchant services.

Tele-Sales Specialist's primary responsibility is to generate new business leads and opportunities for the local office Sales Development Leader (SDL):
  • Develops a list of prospects from resource material or company records
  • Conducts daily phone prospecting for appointments or sales for SDL to close
  • Uses phone calls to prospective customers to explain opportunity including type of service or product offered
  • Tries to persuade customer/prospect to meet with SDL by using knowledge of company products and services
  • Enters names, addresses, purchases and comments of prospects solicited into sales lead tracking system
  • Coordinates with local SDL to transfer calls from interested prospects and or schedule a time for SDL to meet with prospect
Must maintain monthly quota and sales criteria as defined by management.
  • 6 months telephone sales experience
  • 1-3 years of experience communicating in a sales environment
  • Must have been in current position for at least 3 months
  • Excellent closing and mathematical skills
  • High level of integrity, self-motivation, intelligence coupled with strong communication skills, positive attitude and team spirit
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast paced environment where high energy and resiliency are required
  • Computer literate
  • 1+ year Sales experience a Plus
  • Merchant services and bankcard industry experience
  • Cold calling/prospecting experience
