About the Role
As part of the sales organization, this role is responsible for supporting sales effort in pursuit of new accounts, upselling existing customers and renewing existing customers. This person will work very closely with the Sales, Product and Services to ensure customers are thrilled before, during, and after events.

Essential Responsibilities

    • Deep understanding of managing complex events
    • Ability to gather customer requirements as part of the sales team and transition those requirements to the RainFocus services team through
    • Architect and deliver product demonstrations to show the ease of use and expansive capabilities of our platform
    • Help answer customer RFP’s
    • Assist in creation of SOW’s so that RainFocus services understands and can execute on customer deliverables
    • Identify and articulate any custom product requirements and coordinate with Product team
    • Understand customer pain points, articulate our Value Proposition and architect a solution that delights our customers
    • Collaborate cross functionality to represent a workable configuration for customer
    • Manage and nurture external client relationships resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial strategic partnerships
    • Navigate complex, enterprise deal cycles
    • Identify opportunities for expansion sales within existing accounts
    • Become an expert in RainFocus solutions for businesses of all sizes and adapt recommendations quickly to suit varying client needs
    • Work cross-functionally within sales and other functions to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
    • Think creatively about ways to increase the company’s value to customers and partners
    • Deliver competitive intelligence, and monitor competitor moves and business trends
    • Work directly with the Client Success and the Customer Support teams to ensure we are providing the very best service to our customers

Required Skills and Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, support or similar roles
    • 3+ years of event management software experience
    • Extensive event management software knowledge
    • Experience presenting to executives
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to make effective customer presentations
    • Strong leadership skills to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process
    • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts/opportunities
    • Experience creating detailed technical proposal and implementation plans
    • Experience preparing RFP and RFI responses
    • Willingness to travel 10-40%
    • BA/BS
