Introduction
The IBM Microsoft Center of Competency (CoC) team provides deep subject matter expertise to assist with Global business development, sales support, and delivery efforts of the Microsoft Platforms to the service lines and Industries within IBM and respective clients. We are currently seeking hands-on leaders in Microsoft Azure Architecture who are entrepreneurial in nature. In this role, you will bring a high degree of hands-on technical architecture expertise in design, development, and implementation of architecture strategy across multiple bid opportunities and projects. You should love wearing multiple hats.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Azure Architect will be responsible for architecting transformation and modernization of an enterprise solution using Microsoft Azure Platform in conjunction with various types of external systems and business applications. As an IBM COC Azure Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex Global problems. As an COC Architect you will define the scope, design and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform. In this role you are a technical leader ”top gun”, serving as a liaison among IBM lines of business globally, business partners, technical resources, and client stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Microsoft Global Center of Competency (CoC) Architect in this role:
  • Creates healthy executive-level client relationships.
  • Contributes to multiple presales initiatives by owning the solution components in those from opportunity identification, qualification, scoping, solutioning, proposal writing, orals presentations and demonstrations.
  • Oversees the development, maturation, and integration of enterprise architectures based on customer provided requirements to meet customer needs.
  • Provides strong solutioning and delivery background to various types of external systems (Business Applications, CRM, and ERP– such as Dynamics, SAP) on Azure for POCs, Discovery, Analysis, Design and Migrations.
  • Performs an assessment of the customer’s existing business and technology imperatives, goals, and challenges
  • Leads and use a design-led workshops directly with client stakeholders as part of the pre-sales phase to identify customer needs and accelerate customer digital transformation.
  • Develops, harvest, and shares IP that enables solutions to scale across customers
  • Participates in every aspect of the Azure Solution implementation from start up, analysis, design, and cut over to production.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the client’s organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements are aligned to business objectives, gaining a full understanding of current business processes.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
You should have experience of the following:
  • 3+ years of experience with Pre-sales demonstrations, presentations and proposal writing of Azure Solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with Analysis / requirements gathering, solution design and implementation of Azure Solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in complex project team leadership and / or working as part of a team
  • 3+ years of experience in developing integrations on Azure Platform to various types of external systems and can recommend an approach and technology
  • 3+ years of experience working with MS technical stack and building deployment automation assets
  • 3+ years of strong solutioning and delivery background on (Business Applications – such as Dynamics, SAP) on Azure engagements with global reach
  • Certified in 1 of the following Azure certifications or the ability to obtain the certification with 3 months:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect 304 - Designing a Microsoft Azure Architecture
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect 303- Microsoft Azure Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate – AZ-500
  • Microsoft Certified: PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant
  • Microsoft Certified: MB-230: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service

5 + years Full project lifecycle experience


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience of Analysis / requirements gathering, solution design and implementation of Azure Solutions

  • 5+ years of experience in developing integrations of Azure Platform to various types of external systems and can recommend an approach and technology
  • 5+ years of experience working with MS technical stack and build deployment automation
  • 5+ years of strong solutioning and delivery background on (Business Applications – such as Dynamics, SAP) on Azure engagements with global reach
  • Certified in 2 of the following Azure certifications or the ability to obtain the second certification with 3 months:
