Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence, with a heavy emphasis on obtaining new clients and adding to our existing customer base. The ideal candidate will work prospects through the entire sales cycle, including developing new leads, educating prospects, and turning interested clients into long-term customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities, enhance client relationships, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Independently prospect, develop, and nurture relationships with customers and industry entities.
- Gather and utilize business intelligence to support sales calls and product presentations.
- Research and understand the competition to be successful in competitive situations.
- Maintain positive business relationships with customers. Act as point of contact for inquiries about pending, in–progress, and completed orders.
- Negotiate and close new sales agreements to meet sales goals and increase new customer base.
- Work within AIRSEAL CRM to load new customers, prospects, opportunities, estimates, and proposals.
- Collaborate with the estimating and manufacturing personnel to help accurately produce estimates and proposals.
- As new opportunities are successfully bid and won, continue to work with operations personnel to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
- Follow up with customer after work service is performed to ensure expectations are met.
- Continually review customer and prospect needs for possible additional product and service offerings and work with sales and executive leadership teams to grow additional product/service offerings.
Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and achieve timely, accurate results..
- Proficient in customer relationship management practices to enhance client engagement.
- High-level customer relationship building.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of being proactive and solutions driven.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development processes, including lead generation and closing sales.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
- Solid understanding of project management principles to oversee various initiatives effectively.
- Demonstrate (quantifiable) success in business development, sales and account management face-to-face (outside sales).
- Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people. Proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining strong interpersonal relations. Able to deal courteously, professionally, and tactfully with the clients, vendors, and internal staff at all levels.
Competitive Compensation:
Base Salary + Commissions commensurate with experience and proven track record.
