Playlist Associate – 6-month Independent Contract Opportunity

Location: Toronto, Ontario / Remote

We are Warner Music Group, home to a broad roster of new stars and legendary artists through a collection of the best-known record labels in the music industry including Asylum, Atlantic, Big Beat, Canvasback, East West, Elektra, Erato, FFRR, Fuelled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Reprise, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Spinnin’, Warner Bros., Warner Classics, and Warner Music Nashville, as well as Warner/Chappell Music, one of the world's leading music publishers, with a catalogue of more than one million copyrights worldwide.

We currently have a fantastic 6-month Independent Contract opportunity to work with our innovative and highly sought-after Commercial Revenue team.


  • Develop a thorough knowledge of WMG’s catalogue and frontline releases
  • Curate and maintain several playlists of various genres for a wide range of audiences, moods, and moments
  • Provide direct support to the Digital Account Representative
  • Manage Topsify Canada CRM initiatives using Exact Target. Analyze campaign results & share with CRM team
  • Maintain website using our proprietary tools
  • Collaborate with the global Topsify team on varying projects, reporting, and programming initiatives
  • Create contest landing pages for Topsify Canada campaigns, facilitate contest winners’ outreach and present contest results.
  • Participate in weekly Frontline Streaming Meeting & bi-weekly Catalogue Streaming Meeting


  • Experience in music editorial/programming/curation an asset.
  • Academic Degree or College diploma preferred.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple music genres & decades. A keen understanding of music trends across Canada, both currently and historically.
  • A strong understanding of streaming services and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Motivated individual with a self-starter attitude with effective follow through and ability to problem solve
  • A passion and interest in developing Canadian artists on a global level
  • Proficient in technology including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Slack, Exact Target, and Google Forms
