Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting all the initiatives pertaining to process and technology in Maintenance and Engineering which include documenting and improving business processes, testing and scripting of test cases and operational support of maintenance systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Adopts industry standard processes and be a catalyst for continuous improvement in each of the assigned areas
  • Applies DMAIC methodolgy for continuous improvement in Maintenance & Engineering and other supporting processes for the assigned areas
  • Works with business process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to map functional processes in each of the departments assigned
  • Works closely with departments to develop scripts, testing schedules and testing processes
  • Works with their assigned departments to transfer the knowledge that was gained during the testing and also train employees in the departmental processes and procedures and new technologies
  • Updates user guides to reflect the current and future processes and procedures
  • Provides seamless continuity with other departments where there is overlap in functionality
  • Provides operational support to end users, troubleshoot as needed, in the use of various M&E systems including TRAX, Boeing Toolbox, Airbus World, FlyDocs, etc.
  • Escalates any issues to the Lead BFA for guidance as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
  • 2 years’ experience working primarily as a business analyst or in a related role
  • Requires working occasional weekend and evening work for training and implementation of patches

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Avaiation Maintenance Management
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • 3 years’ experience in Line Mx, Base Mx, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Accounting, Shops, Supply, and Quality Assurance
  • 2 years’ experience working in the airline industry with strong knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering technologies and processes
  • Advanced level of competency with office productivity tools such as MS Office, MS Project and process mapping tools such as Visio
  • Self driven to bring about positive change in their assigned areas they represent with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in producing business requirements for technology enablement
  • Experience in the development of testing scripts, user guides and training material
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and within departments at all levels of the organization to include development of presentation materials
