POSITION SUMMARY:

As one of our first Field Robotics Operators, you will be an intricate member of our field operations team. In this role you will work closely with the Business Development Manager and take charge of operating the Grabber FloorPrints robotic system and working with our clients to exceed operation expectations. You will work throughout different locations in Southern California such as Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties. We are seeking an individual with construction experience who can navigate the changing landscape of commercial jobsites and clearly communicate with our clients to perform the task at hand. Your problem-solving ability and hard work will be critical in supporting our clients and creating new business opportunities for the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploy and maintain our robotic system in a wide variety of commercial construction settings.
  • Monitor robot performance and utilization.
  • Communicate and coordinate robotic layout project activities with clients and project team.
  • Evaluate robotic performance and recommend improvements when needed.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and workflow issues.
  • Perform similar work-related duties as assigned.

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel several nights a month 50-75%.
  • Ability to lift and carry 70 lbs of equipment on uneven ground.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to initiate creative solutions for challenging jobsite conditions.
  • Computer skills: desire and readiness to learn new computer software and navigate changing user interface updates, proficient with online meeting platforms, and experience with AutoCAD Software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills: ability to manage and maintain robotic equipment, computers, and battery systems.
  • Skilled in math related to common construction measurements (tape measurer, fractions, creating square).
  • High level of comfort on construction jobsites and basic understanding of how trades operate and trade language.
