Job Description

Position Summary:
Develops and implements state of the art information technology strategies and platforms that meet current and future business needs. Performs all aspects of data and database administration including hosting services, software evaluation and installation, logical and physical database design and implementation, structured testing of database designs, security administration, backup and recovery planning, capacity planning, performance and tuning, research and evaluation of new tools and techniques, and development of policies, standards and procedures related to the database environment. The individual will be responsible for analysis, design, data mapping, programming, testing, and documentation of the data warehouse schemas and applications, in accordance with standard policies, procedures, processes, and best practices as well as to meet the business requirements of CyncHealth.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the CyncHealth enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
  • Enable enterprise information management: Ensure that the architecture is used as a lens and a filter to identify, prioritize, and execute the data and analytic initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
  • Participate in and facilitate the definition and development of the technical data warehouse solution, including vision, scope, and system architecture.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications, design models and schemas, and system workflows from which the data warehouse(s) will be developed and implemented.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and maintain production systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow-up on identified issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect required
  • Experience in Relational Databases (AWS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
  • Experience w/ Enterprise Database Warehouse
  • HL7/FHIR Health Data preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance enterprise data warehouses and data marts required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Extended working hours may be necessary
  • Ability to work in the La Vista office with reliable and predictable attendance.
