Aegis Protective Services is in search for qualified applicants for the role of Security Operations Manager in the Columbus, Oh area. This is not a Monday-Friday position. This position requires a candidate with flexibility and the ability to respond and/or provide direction at any time for all assigned regional sites.

Position Description:

The primary role of the Operations Manager (OM) is to ensure that their territory is profitably delivering a customer and employee experience unparalleled to any other in the industry. The OM will have overall responsibility for all guard and patrol operations in their territory. They will partner with HR and Scheduling operations and have the support of the command center but ultimately have overall responsibility for the performance of their region.

The OM will partner closely with the Business Development Manager for their territory to ensure that business operations are efficient and effective and collaborate with them in successfully growing revenue and profitability. The OM will be asked to identify gaps in service and propose solutions to eliminate them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive accountability for ensuring operational coverage including but not limited to effectively minimizing missed coverage and overtime.
  • Developing and management of flex officer program
  • Management of all assigned employees in region
  • Scheduled post coverage and on-call post coverage as needed
  • New customer set up
  • Provide operational planning, direction, authorization and improvements to organizational processes for customer/employee satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Successfully complete guard training at all assigned sites and execute site inspections
  • Conduct site incidents, workplace injury, and site investigations in a timely manner.
  • Partnering with HR support to ensure that all HR operations related matters for their region are being handled appropriately
  • Know, develop, and follow company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong direction setting and daily organizational security
  • Security, military and/or law enforcement background a plus
  • Must have strong adaptability to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
  • Must have flexible availability; day shift, night shift, weekends and holidays
  • Minimum high school diploma; prefer college degree
  • Experience in management, operations and/or leadership

Compensation:
Salary starts at $35,360/year and up depending on experience

Bi-weekly car allowance
Bonus plan based on territory metrics
