Job Description
Duties:
1. Responsible for generating leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects.
2. Responsible for presenting to senior decision makers within agencies and media owners.
3. Responsible for understanding and keeping up-to-date with constant developments in the communications industry and agency market.
4. Identifies areas for expansion and development.
5. Responsible for developing a targeted long-term new business strategy to also encompass regional and international agencies/media owners and fosters growth in these key areas for the future.
6. Creates weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance.
7. Delivers against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met.
8. Works closely with the marketing department to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects.
9. Inputs into sales and marketing collateral how the business positions itself for various audiences.
10. Maximizes networking opportunities and regularly uses conferences, events, and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned as the need arises and per the programmatic needs.

Language Ability: *Essential Function*
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
Must have a minimum 2 to 3 years' experience within business development/new business or account management role with face-to-face experience being imperative
- Experience within the media, marketing, and communications world preferred
- Education to degree level or equivalent
- Must be a self-starter who is target driven, motivated and comfortable in a target oriented environment
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills including telephone, written, and face-to-face
- Consultative sales skills because our audience is made up of agencies/media owners and requires a balance of soft sell approach and hard sell closure
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have experience working in a marketing/agency/media environment and an understanding of and passion for the industry
- Must be determined, outgoing, positive, articulate, and diplomatic
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
