The Position: The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring opportunities to maximize sales are realized by effectively planning and managing a team of customer-focused, results-oriented Territory Managers. The Regional Manager is accountable for achieving the sales budgets, expense budgets, and service standards in place to support THS’s long-range goals. The position is also responsible for understanding the market's nuances, how decisions are made within it, and ensuring key relationships are developed and enhanced.

Key Responsibilities:
People Management
  • Ensure the performance of all direct reports is evaluated to maximize their performance and development throughout the year and during the annual performance review.
  • Foster training and development for the department.
  • Develop staff by following management practices and setting appropriate objectives.
Sales and Business Development
  • Ensure sales and gross profit budgets are achieved for the region.
  • Develop account strategies specific to each customer with the Territory Managers.
  • Ensure relationships are maximized at senior levels within hospitals and other points of influence.
  • Maintain an understanding of the customer, the competition, pricing, and market conditions.
  • Ensure the sales plan is aligned and executed within the Company goals.
  • Execute the pricing strategy and processes.
  • Participate in negotiations when required with the Territory Managers.
  • Maintain regular and ongoing communication with Director of Sales, Territory Managers and other internal customers.
  • Ensure communication is effective and informative regarding issues which may affect the quality of service or products.
  • Ensure competitive information or data on products is provided to Product Managers.
  • Ensure data is being entered into the CRM system in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements, Qualifications & Skills:
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Science or the equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of proven expertise managing and leading staff
  • Minimum seven (7) years demonstrated sales ability with a professional customer base, preferably within the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Seasoned communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid and positive, professional relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Ability to concentrate and multi-task.
Essential Duties:
  • Fluent in English; both written and oral.
  • Ability to regularly travel throughout the Region and Canada.
Working Conditions:
  • Field / Home Office Setting.
  • Frequent interruptions.
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license, and at least three (3) years’ driving experience with an ongoing satisfactory driver’s abstract is required.
  • A clear vulnerable sector/criminal background check, appropriate for working in the hospital environment.
  • Compensation based on a regular work week of thirty-seven and one half (37.5) working hours, with additional working hours as required to meet ongoing business demands and to fulfill job responsibilities.
