Primary Duties
1. Facilitates the process to connect and serve new/expanding customers, with responsibility for:
2. Develops and maintains strong business relationships with industrial, large commercial, and LDC customers. Maintains a working knowledge of end user industry trends and available gas technologies and pursues related opportunities with customers.
3. Acts as a Company point of contact to ensure customer needs are being met, to include areas such as billing, tariffs, measurement, contract administration, service issues, environmental sustainability and changes in gas delivery needs.
4. Builds relationships with local, regional and state economic development agencies (EDAs) in an effort to recruit new large volume prospects.
5. Assists with the contract administration of assigned accounts, monitoring compliance of terms of service by contracting parties. Communicates with customers and their agents during curtailment periods and OFO type issuances. Monitors consumption during these periods to ensure compliance.
6. Reviews and makes recommendations for the approval of large volume customer invoices monthly. Responsible for initial efforts to verify and collect on any overdue accounts.
7. Assists with the identification and analysis of competitive bypass options available to customer or prospect (gas on gas, upstream pipe, and other fuel). Assists with the negotiations of approved competitive response options with customer.
8. Maintains working knowledge of upstream pipeline supply and capacity conditions affecting assigned transportation customers including balancing, cash out and other related transactions to assist in decision making.
9. Administers the company's business development programs to maximize customer retention, stakeholder engagement and grow market share. Promotes the company’s programs and services and advocates for natural gas usage in an effort to influence natural gas buying decisions and promote natural gas environmental sustainable solutions.
10. Supports the annual industrial margin budget. Confirms customer consumption projections to assist in rate case filings.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field and four years related experience; or equivalent.
Valid driver's license required.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers/stakeholders in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical, environmental or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion and proactively advocate for continued/increased usage of natural gas.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analysis involving financial investments, ratios, percentages and statistical methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, spreadsheets, financial analysis, reports and/or graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works in indoor and outdoor environments.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
May be on call weekly for 24 hours a day.
Requires attendance at after-hours events, occasional travel, and availability outside of business hours to respond to customer/business needs as needed.

- facilitating the engineering review of available system capacity and any required infrastructure and associated costs;
- preparing economic feasibility and rate reviews;
- identifying appropriate tariff/service options;
- preparing, and facilitating the negotiation and execution of large volume service/facilities agreements; and
- serving as liaison during any associated infrastructure construction.
