Job Summary

The Data and Program Analyst for Institutional Effectiveness supports the Vice Provost for Academic Programs/Dean of Graduate Studies. The incumbent independently performs data, research, and analysis for Graduate Studies and Academic Programs. The incumbent leads and manages programs related to Institutional Effectiveness and student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and program Review and Assessment.
  • Manage data gathering and analysis for Graduate Studies and Academic Programs.
  • Write and Disseminate Reports.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge and experience with Tableau to visualize data. Ability to present data in creative and innovative ways appropriate to needs of specific audience. Ability to manage data gathering and analysis for Graduate Studies and Academic Programs

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience

Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience required, such as the study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree. Working knowledge of data management software, i.e., Excel, Qualtrics, PeopleSoft, CS Link. Statistical analysis using appropriate software, i.e., SPSS in order to facilitate data analysis. Excellent writing and communication skills.

Compensation

Up to $4,700/month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $4,693 to $8,489 per month.

Time Base

Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017 as a condition of employment.
