Job Description


This position is a technical role responsible for successfully customizing solutions to solve client problems specific to physical security. The PSE collaborates with the Sales team by acting as subject matter expert in client interactions, helping to develop technical details, estimates and requirements necessary to meet the client’s goals and objectives. The PSE acts as a liaison between the Sales team and the Estimation & Engineering Office (EEO), and interfaces with external channels. The long-term goal of this position is to bridge the gap in technical understanding, ensure the proper technology solution selection, and facilitate information flow between relevant parties.

. Requirements:


Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Community Channel Manager

  • Manage network of major players in the local security and cabling markets
  • Cultivate and manage pipeline of opportunities from A&E firms
  • Manage relationships with vendors & vertical specialists
  • Create estimates for un-influenced opportunities
  • Direct opportunities with end users will be managed through SSA, Business Development Manager (BDM) or Enterprise Account Managers

Opportunity Qualification

  • Qualify opportunities; go/no-go on deals hitting bid/spec desk, and non-BDM accounts
  • Assist and collaborate on development / maintenance of Budgeting Tool strategies

Deal Review Board (DRB) Development

  • Build and maintain DRB process: who, when, and what
  • Facilitate or attend DRB sessions; promote adherence to agenda
  • Provide feedback loop from delivery (Engineering, PMO, Programming, Field Technicians) through the Estimation Huddle and Discovery meetings

Customer Technology Roadmaps

  • Creation of roadmap content and review with BDM team (BDM is responsible for presenting content to the client)
  • Collaborate with other PTI Solutions Architects and Estimators to bring new technologies to existing clients

Education & Training – Internal

  • Director of Sales – preferred vendors, solutions, and manufacturers
  • Sales – value proposition, technical support
  • Presales/Estimation
  • PMO – Security technology overview
  • Engineers/Programmers

Tracking and management of competitive pricing programs and deal registration opportunities


  • Curiosity to develop better solutions
  • Highly responsive with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace within a changing environment
  • Effectively identify and organize priorities, executing accordingly
  • High degree of motivation, self-direction, commitment, and integrity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Prior experience in estimation is a plus


  • Minimum of three (3) years of Security experience
  • Technical expertise in related physical security subject areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, technology, or related field
  • Must have experience in estimation, proposal development, relationship management, prior exposure to sales process and requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background, aptitude, & drug test
