About the Position

The Office of Information Technology at Pitzer College is seeking a skilled and friendly problem solver for the position of Client Services Assistant. This position will assist Client Services by providing level 1 computer support, as well as a broad range of administrative and secretarial duties to support the Client Services group and the department of Information Technology as a whole. Duties include: troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving basic software and hardware problems; answering helpdesk phone line; entering tickets into helpdesk system; preparing documents and reports; managing office and department supplies; maintaining files; and assisting with system upgrades. This position will assist IT staff as needed. Assist with maintaining Footprints projects. Prepare and maintain documentation on software usage, policies and procedures. Provide backup support for other team members in the Information Technology department. You can view the full position description HERE .

Work Hours : This is a regular, full-time, staff position. The regular hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour meal break. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department. May be required to occasional evenings, weekends or overtime to assist with software/system upgrades.

About You

You are a quick-learner, highly dependable, and can easily and quickly switch between tasks. You work very well with limited supervision individually and as part of a team, have ability to communicate technical information successfully to individuals with varying levels of technical skills, and have a friendly and helpful personality. You can interact productively and cordially with a diverse campus population in a fast pace, multi-tasking team environment. You have a great sense of humor and hardware or software certifications are a plus!

Education and Experience : Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability. Minimum of two years of experience required in related a position. Related work experience during college is acceptable.

Other : Hardware and software certifications preferred.

Compensation

Rate of Pay : This position is paid every two weeks on an hourly basis at a rate that is commensurate with the required qualifications. The pay range will be available to interviewed applicants by written request to the Office of Human Resources at S[email protected]
