About the Position

The Office of Information Technology at Pitzer College is seeking a skilled and friendly problem solver for the position of Client Services Assistant. This position will assist Client Services by providing level 1 computer support, as well as a broad range of administrative and secretarial duties to support the Client Services group and the department of Information Technology as a whole. Duties include: troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving basic software and hardware problems; answering helpdesk phone line; entering tickets into helpdesk system; preparing documents and reports; managing office and department supplies; maintaining files; and assisting with system upgrades. This position will assist IT staff as needed. Assist with maintaining Footprints projects. Prepare and maintain documentation on software usage, policies and procedures. Work Hours : This is a regular, full-time, staff position. The regular hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour meal break. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department. May be required to occasional evenings, weekends or overtime to assist with software/system upgrades.

About You

You are a quick-learner, highly dependable, and can easily and quickly switch between tasks. You work very well with limited supervision individually and as part of a team, have ability to communicate technical information successfully to individuals with varying levels of technical skills, and have a friendly and helpful personality. You can interact productively and cordially with a diverse campus population in a fast pace, multi-tasking team environment. You have a great sense of humor and hardware or software certifications are a plus!

Education and Experience : Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability. Minimum of two years of experience required in related a position. Related work experience during college is acceptable.

Other : Hardware and software certifications preferred.


Rate of Pay : This position is paid every two weeks on an hourly basis at a rate that is commensurate with the required qualifications. The pay range will be available to interviewed applicants by written request to the Office of Human Resources at S[email protected]
