Job Summary
The Client Sales Manager position is a critical growth position that requires the individual to be result oriented. This person will drive client management processes from the corporate sales goals down to the day-to-day completion of marketing related tasks. Success in this position is achieved by implementing intermediate goals to achieve annual sales and revenue objectives. Typically, the Client Sales Manager is responsible for pursuing new clients and managing existing clients. This position is typically fast paced and carries a high level of responsibility.
The Client Sales Manager achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing pursuing owners, owner representatives, contractors, architects, and engineers related to projects in the various market segments including commercial, mult-family, public facilities, public infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and industrial. This individual manages assigned leads, develops market intelligence, initiates contact with decision makers to obtain proposal opportunities.
Client Sales Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Contact decision makers on the phone or in person to introduce company services, gain an understanding of potential client’s key concerns related to our services, maintains market intelligence on company platforms.
- The primary responsibilities are to generate proposal opportunities, develop winning strategies, communicate differentiators and achieve successful sales results.
- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating proposal goals and objectives; also evaluates soft marketing opportunities including networking, branding opportunities, and company recognition through association events.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying RFP’s, RFQ’s and proposal opportunities; defining markets, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Improves company marketability and profitability by understanding market opportunities; improving proposal packaging; coordinating new proposal development.
- Attends industry associations to expand the company’s image and develop relationships with potential clients.
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by working with marketing staff from other firms like architects, construction managers, engineers, etc.; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge exploring industry trends, new resources and supports continuous improvement.
- Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
Business Development Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications
- Previous military experience and/or strong sports background would be a plus.
- Recent college graduates will be considered.
- Must demonstrate a persuasive demeanor.
- Ability to accomplish goals regardless of work hours. Full-time position may require working evening and weekends depending on production schedules and due dates.
- EXCELLENT communication and decision-making skills including schedules deadlines. This includes professional written and verbal skills.
- Team player, collaboratives with other team members, departments, organized, solid management skills and result driven.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Products including Excel, Tracking Systems, and CRM Solutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
