Summary of Position:
- Inside Sales is primarily responsible for supporting Outside Sales persons, maintaining relationships with customers, entering and expediting orders, receiving inbound phone calls, providing customer service over the phone and in person. Inside sales person will work closely with purchasing to expedite orders and may be called on to work with accounts receivable to keep accounts current. This position will work cross functionally with logistics, transportation accounts receivable and purchasing to proactively meet customer’s needs with a focus on renewables.
- This position will also serve as backup and support for counter sales. The successful candidate must be professional in appearance and manner, able to successfully work with a wide array of customers both in person and over the phone. The position is the primary point of contact for the customer purchasing agent and managing orders
- This position reports to the Branch Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers.
- Maintain our high standards of quality and customer service at all times.
- Continually develop product knowledge and share that knowledge with customers.
- Working schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overnight travel, both in and out of state. May be required to travel out of state for product training.
- The candidate for this role will be responsible for driving sales and profitability for the Solar categories.
- A basic understanding of the product lines is very much preferred but not required.
- This person will need to possess the ability to comfortably interface with internal customers, Codale sales associates, branch, and district managers, as well as develop relationships with Codale’s external customers.
- This person will also be responsible for monitoring and balancing branch inventory levels, driving promotions, creatively support initiatives and supporting ancillary lines within their geographical territory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have good analytical and computer skills including mastery of MS Office software.
- Working knowledge of Eclipse ERP preferred, but not required (Training offered).
- Ability to communicate and present effectively with / to counter, inside and outside account managers, vendors, purchasing, marketing in a professional manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Other skills/experience desired:
- Six months or more related experience and/or training is preferred.
- Ability to grow and maintain relationship with any individual, irrespective of the background and type of personality.
- Possession of good sense of humor.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong creativity and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work with recent technological applications relating to daily tasks.
- Possess reliable problem-solving ability.
