Summary

Hiring an experienced and passionate Bicycle Shop Retail Sales Manager. The candidate must be intrinsically motivated, be a sales driver, have excellent communication skills, be proactive and posses a problem solving attitude.

  • Manage the bike shop's overall operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership and dedication to the sales and service staff to provide the highest quality retail experience.
  • Work in collaboration with the Service Manager in directing the performance of sales and service staff for the store.
  • Provide one of a kind customer service through direct and detailed interaction with employees and customers.

Retail Sales Management experience preferred. Bike Shop and riders are preferred. Open to all ages but most possess past managerial experience.

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Interact with customers and provide exceptional customer service; educate customers about bicycles, bicycle accessories and clothing, and any other cycling-related products or services in the store.
  • Responsible for driving the sales, energy and productivity of the store.
  • Oversee and help manage inventory processes including ordering, receiving and cycle counting.
  • Oversee and organize and merchandise product cleanly and creatively.
  • Train, mentor, and coach Sales Associates.
  • Educate all staff regarding company policies, programs, and standards.
  • Monitor productivity and performance of all staff.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to your staff, your peers, your supervisors and the mission and values.
  • Dedication to completing assignments and projects to meet the high standards of quality.
  • Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
  • Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members.
  • Perform personnel functions such as selection, training, or evaluation.
  • Other duties as needed/ assigned.

Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to:
  • 2+ years of retail management experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business management related field a plus.
  • High level of organizational ability; exceptional written and spoken communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be passionate about bicycles and promoting the benefits of a cycling lifestyle and culture.
  • Enthusiastically embraces the concept of serving the customer and providing an exceptional retail experience.
  • Is capable of safely lifting and carrying 25lbs on a regular basis.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
  • Is intrinsically self motivated, positive, and friendly; able to work both independently and as a member of a team; and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
