Summary
****** Looking for local candidates familiar with the Greater Salt Lake City area. *****
This is a Sales Representative position acting as an Independent 1099 Contractor working to
your own schedule. There is an opportunity to become a full-time Sales Manager with
applicable benefits in the future for the right candidate. Responsibilities include researching
sales competition, submitting regular sales reports to management, educating customers of
equipment availability, rides and benefits, and resolving customer complaints. You will need to
create, as well as present, persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and
repeat business.
You will work closely with all team members of the Company including Owner, Office Support
and Drivers to increase sales and ensure the highest standards of customer and client care.
Responsibilities:
1. Premier Customer Service:
Maintain exceptional customer service standards by ensuring customers receive
timely and accurate information about our services.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt, timely and
professional manner.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
and positive reviews.
Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs,
identify and suggest products and services to meet their business needs.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge to accurately answer questions and
offer technical advice.
Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship
management, resolve any issues what may arise post-sale.
Maintain communication with each customer, alerting them on new products,
services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
2. Marketing and Business Development:
Collaborate with the Owner to create and execute marketing strategies to attract
new customers to maintain healthy gross margins.
Strategically negotiating with potential customers to close sales and ensure
profitability goals.
Identify opportunities for business growth, such as expanding services, reaching
new markets, or developing partnerships.
Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients utilizing various customer sales
methods (e.g., door-to-door, cold calling, presentations, follow-ups, etc.).
Continually meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets by selling
company products and, or services to new customers.
Attending industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads and make
meaningful contact with potential customers.
Research competitors’ products and pricing as well as market conditions of local
economy.
3. Sales and Transactions:
Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using the company
computer system.
Assist customers with product selection, providing detailed information about
features, specifications, and benefits.
Maintain and expand client database on an ongoing basis.
4. Business Reporting:
Maintain and submit detailed metrics (KPIs) to upper management for sales
activities including calls, estimates sent, sales orders, lost business, and any
customer or vendor relationship problems.
Participate in periodic meetings, phone calls and emails with General Manager,
and present business/sales data for a discussion (when requested).
Work with the Owner on job estimations, proposals, and pricing to properly reflect
the company’s overhead, burdened labor, and other operating costs to meet
profitability targets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, technical certification in a related field is a
plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field is preferred.
Previous experience in sales or customer service role, preferably in a transportation or
tourist industry setting is big plus.
At least 3 years of related experience in direct sales.
Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Familiar with various sales techniques and pipeline management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach, ability to tactfully handle
challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Seeking guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties.
Respecting the confidentiality of Company, customers, and personnel information.
Maintaining cooperative working relationships with all staff members.
Performing all duties in an independent manner with little supervision.
Always provide proper notification and advance notice of absence.
Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, appropriate for the position and
situation.
Ability to learn quickly and move on from both success and failures.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
