The Director, Payor Partnerships will lead the next wave of growth by managing strategic payor partnerships for Science 37. The individual will identify the platform/specialized network capabilities and assemble an ecosystem of providers required to enable an Agile clinical trial for our customers. This position reports to the VP, Head of Partnerships.
â€¢ Work closely with the VP, Head of Partnerships to align the Company's payor partnership strategy and priorities
â€¢ Will often work in conjunction with the VP, Head of Partnerships and the Chief Product Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Delivery Officer, and Chief Medical Officer to identify potential/existing partners to solve current and future improvement opportunities
â€¢ Prioritize potential payor partner opportunities based on customer, delivery efficiencies, and innovation/differentiation impact
â€¢ Working with product, engineering and marketing teams to secure resources and prioritization for payor partner success. Partnering with finance, customer support, legal and analytics teams to enable payor partnership execution
â€¢ Build effective business plans in concert with internal stakeholders to deliver on new contractual parameters.
â€¢ Effectively engage with delivery, operations, commercial, legal, product management, proposal, and marketing teams, to facilitate the production digital tools/materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), contracts, and other related activities to onboard new payor partners
â€¢ Help to facilitate the effective handoff of sales to implementation to ongoing customer management for our strategic segment; partner and build the appropriate infrastructure to ensure customer success
â€¢ Lead efforts that showcase the health of the relationship across many fronts including:
o Scorecard development and oversight
o Relationship ties, including at the executive levels
o Business growth opportunities
o Performance guarantee attainment
o Operational delivery
o Actuarial/savings achievement
o Event planning
â€¢ Define what is needed across existing Science 37 teams to support the payor strategy, including in sales, marketing, IT, and operations. Assess their readiness to support enterprise-level requirements and work with their leaders to enhance this.
â€¢ Communicate professionally and at multiple levels within the client's organization; anticipate customer needs and correspond proactively
â€¢ Bachelor's degree in related field (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Management)
â€¢ Minimum 8 years of experience preferably working with healthcare companies in the clinical trials industry
â€¢ Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with top Corporate Executives
â€¢ Well-developed skills in strategic and quantitative analysis, project management, negotiation, communication, and leadership are essential
â€¢ Working with product, engineering and marketing teams to secure resources and prioritization for partner success. Partnering with finance, customer support, legal and analytics teams to enable partnership execution
â€¢ Identifying prospective payor partnership and market opportunities that Science 37 can accelerate via partnership.
â€¢ Establishing key KPIs and success measures for the payor partnerships team; based on a clear strategy and business model. Tracking progress against the payor partnerships teams goals and hitting critical targets
â€¢ Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead via influence. Open and highly collaborative, ability to partner well with multiple cross-functional teams
â€¢ Excellent financial/analytical skills with strong business acumen
â€¢ Travel required: Variable 10% - 30% as needed, depending on nature of deals, volume, and activity
