The National Title Services Division is looking for all levels of Title Specialists/Examiners

Job Purpose:
The Title Specialist I follows strict examination guidelines to ensure the proper documents and information are accurately entered into the production system. This role demands the ability to work quickly, accurately and pay extreme attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review and interpret reports and/or queues to manage workload.
  • Review and interpret Policy data provided by customers.
  • Validate the basic property information by comparing it to source documents and data.
  • Compare data and documents returned with our search requirements and manually obtain any missing elements.
  • Manually rekey any errors.
  • May need to manually type search data into our production systems.
  • Handle rush requests and communicate order status with other departments.
  • Type Policies from start to finish.
  • Review Offshore Vendor Policies and report errors to Vendor.
  • Interpret property details and searches in title plants such as Title Point and Data Trace.
  • Manually run searches in title plants such as Title Point and Data Trace.

  • Use online resources to locate property details.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and time management skills.

  • Adaptability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year experience in a general clerical role that includes typing, word processing or other experience with computer applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Fast typing skills including 10-key.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Previous Title and Escrow experience.
  • ResWare, Title Point and Data Trace experience.
  • Basic knowledge of property related documents such as deeds, mortgages, judgments, etc..

Supervisory Responsibility:
Depending on the level of experience, this position may have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements/ADA:
No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; travel or other inconveniences have advance notice; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Days and hours of full –time position are flexible and candidate may be asked to be available for assigned shifts Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Part-time positions may be considered.

No travel is expected for this position.
