About the Role
This advanced sales support role is responsible for assisting customers and sales channel personnel as well as mentoring other CASE I & II team members. Through collaboration, utilizing application experience and product selection knowledge they will deliver the best thermal solutions and quote standard products. This role supports all levels of sales activities within the sales organization and serves as a liaison between factory product experts and customers to deliver the Watlow experience.

Services:
  • Provides technical support for all complexity levels of inquiries for product advice and selection and product applications.
  • Capable of set-up and programming with single loop control products to assist with applications development and solution.
  • Advises customers, distributors, and sales agents on product advice and selection, product application and specify appropriate control products per application and troubleshooting.
  • Develops quotes for all complexities of products, services and some customer specific account management.
  • Assists external stakeholders to resolve product, application, and production problems.
  • Participates in specific product growth strategies and executes plans
  • Assists sales agents and distributors to develop new customers.
  • Provides oversight for large customer projects, product investigations or other technical customer inquiries.
  • Works within and has autonomy to modify from assigned rules sets on pricing, line cards, and operating system processes when applicable.
  • Accountable for specific site, product platform understanding and serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advance team capabilities.
  • Provides technical demonstrations of product capabilities to select external constituents.
  • Maintains accuracy of technical documentation and other promotional materials.
  • Evaluates feasible use for third-party products/services.
  • Performs product and application training for distribution sales reps on tools and best practice methods. • Provides competitive intelligence to business scanning for trends as applicable.
Planning:
  • Develops, engages, and assists with the team Sales Playbooks activities supporting specific territories
  • Participates in account support activities
  • Participates in the compiling of prospecting research activities providing feedback to leaders with usable data.
  • Works with internal technical sales support to develop quote / proposal delivery and negotiations.
  • Coordinates customer issue resolution with internal resources.
Business Partner:
  • Provides technical advice to business unit Sales Agents, customers, and Distributors.
  • Provides input regarding customer feedback, product gaps, market intelligence, etc
Center of Expertise (COE):
  • Advanced quoting skills following standard pricing guidelines
  • Advanced Opportunity Management Process understanding
  • Comprehensive Conversion Penetration Retention (CPR) Process Knowledge
  • Advanced Product and Application Knowledge
  • Established Sales Playbook methodology
  • E-Solutions
  • Watlow Business System (i.e. Customer Segmentation, Watlow Business System (WBS))
  • Solid understanding of the Watlow Selling System
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field for applicable jobs and/or 8+ years’ experience
  • Technical certificate considered with appropriate experience and performance
  • Project management experience
  • Leadership training
