Working within the Motion Eastern Sales Team you will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the account strategy for OEMs and Related End Customers for both Motors and Drives in the Eastern Region. Reporting to the Eastern Region Sales Manager, you will coordinate sales activities, while maintaining a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Participating in the development of Sales strategies by being a spokesperson for the customer, providing solutions for their current and long-term business plans.
  • Identifying new Motors and/or Drives OEMs and working conjointly with other team members and existing channel partners when required.
  • Defining sales targets for the account and ensuring achievement with a structured follow-up process across the Eastern Region.
  • Providing customers with products/solutions/services in line with volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Creating value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
  • Driving the application of standardized Marketing and Sales processes including SalesForce.com to track and maintain opportunities.

Your background

  • Good knowledge and experience of Motors and Drives.
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited post-secondary institution, preference towards Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within the assigned territory. Current Driver’s License valid in Québec and legally able to work in Canada.
  • More than 10 years of experience in sales, sales management or strategic business development working as a Senior Business Developer dedicated to the OEM market and promoting the ABB Motion portfolio.
  • At ease with major corporation senior management relationship development.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and SalesForce.com.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
