Twisted Nail Broker Services, LLC (TNBS) is a locally-based, full-service, freight brokerage specializing in the trucking of aggregates and construction-related materials, equipment, and byproduct. We provide dispatch, factoring, and consulting services to local trucking company owner-operators and truck drivers. TNBS is committed to integrity, transparency, and operates with a trucker-first mentality. Since beginning operations in 2014, TNBS has grown to represent over 250 local trucks, booking 40+ end dump, belly dump, round bottom, and tandem units every day.

Quick Position Overview: Recruitment Manager, Recruiting Manager

You do not need experience in trucking to succeed in this position.

You will be joining our sales team, working under our Sales Director. You will be responsible for processing all incoming owner-operator leads, cold calling owner-operators in the zip codes we have jobs in, managing our recruitment process, and developing your own processes to enhance those already in place.

Position Overview: Recruitment Manager, Recruiting Manager

The goal of the recruitment manager position is to improve the rate that we are able to add owner-operators to our fleet. With a dedicated, full-time, employee working to build a scalable department, we hope to dramatically increase the number of trucks booked each day.

An owner-operator is an individual who both owns and operates their own semi-truck, 18-wheeler, or some other commercial vehicle. At Twisted Nail, we primarily work with owner-operators who haul aggregates (sand, gravel, etc.) or equipment.

We run a series of advertisements in our operating zip codes to generate leads. The ads are highly effective and produce more calls than our current team is able to process. In addition, we have internal tools that provide the contact information to all owner-operators in Texas.

Your primary job will be to take the incoming owner-operator leads, manage them within our CRM, and move them through our recruitment process. The sign-on process is short. There is no cost to joining with us, so the only barrier to converting them is motivating them to fill out the carrier packet. Once they have expressed interest, you will send them our carrier packet, which is our contract that needs to be signed. Once that is turned in to you, and once you have their insurance, they are added to our roster of equipment, given a truck ID, and are officially part of our fleet.

Secondary to that process, sometimes our sales team is able to make a sale outside our normal operating area. In those cases, you would be tasked with cold calling the owner-operators around those cities to attempt to sign on trucks to specific jobs. The cold calls are not "we are contacting you about your extended warranty" type calls. They are "do you still have an end dump? I have a job from A to B paying $$, interested?". The calls are well received.

Finally, we have decided to pursue a recruitment manager, instead of an associate, because we expect the chosen candidate to be capable of taking ownership of the recruitment process, improving it, and preparing it for the addition of lower-level associates to be added as the company expands.


  • 4+ years experience in sales or recruitment, preferably in the construction industry but not required
  • Experience within the trucking/freight industry preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work fully independently to meet or exceed goals without management oversight
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred. >30% of your calls will be in Spanish


We are negotiable on salary range and salary structure (hourly, salary, commission).

Salary + Benefit Package Range: $35,000 - $60,000

$45/week ($195/month) added to each check as a Cell & Home Office Stipend. Health/Dental/Vision can be provided, however, as a small business we prefer to offer a cash stipend to you so that you can purchase your preferred packages.
