Job Purpose

This position reports to the Carrier Services unit. The Project Manager will provide the first level of technical implementation and project management support for Carrier network services and applications. The position of Project Manager requires an innovative, enthusiastic, organized individual who is highly technically competent regarding Carrier network services. Knowledge of systems, procedures, and processes (design, provisioning, pricing, order entry, and billing) in support of complex Carrier network services will be critical. The successful execution of the position of Project Manager will result in a high degree of customer satisfaction, which will advance the position of the entire Carrier account management process and CBT as a whole.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for overall project coordination (30%)
  • Assuring the proper ordering, installation, and billing coordination for complex network services (25%)
  • Acting as first level of technical support for the installation of complex network services and implementations (10%)
  • Providing both pre-sales and post-sales ("cutover") support (10%)
  • Serving as a customer advocate to other Carrier processes (e.g., Provisioning, Product Management) and other entities as required (10%)
  • Developing/maintaining product/service expertise (10%)
  • Participating in sales proposal generation and presentations (5%)


  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent


  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Customer service
  • Sales or marketing experience preferred

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Carrier network services, design, provisioning, order entry, contract and pricing systems in support of products and services
  • Strong technical knowledge of a full array of complex network services representative of the market segment
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Project management experience
  • Good customer contact skills (including negotiation; presentation)
  • Excellent office automation skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, and business graphics)
