Farmers Market Dessert Sales Representative

Pay: $130.00 per day + 5% commission on sales

Job Description:
Are you a dynamic and customer-focused individual with a love for Middle Eastern cuisine? We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Sales Representative to promote and sell our desserts at various farmers markets around Los Angeles. This role involves setting up and managing a booth, engaging with customers, offering samples, and providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain an attractive, organized booth.
- Engage with potential customers, offering samples and explaining the uniqueness of our products.
- Provide excellent service and manage cash or digital transactions efficiently.
- Track and manage inventory before, during, and after the market.
- Ensure the booth is clean, inviting, and compliant with farmers market guidelines.
- Transport products and booth materials from Canoga Park to market locations (must have a car for transportation).
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards
Locations & Schedule:
We currently participate in farmers' markets at the following locations:
- Topanga Canyon – Fridays
- Playa Vista – Saturdays
- Montrose – Sundays
You can work all three or at least two markets per week.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Must have a smartphone for Square/Venmo/etc sales.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable car for transporting products and booth equipment.
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
- Physically capable of setting up and taking down the booth, including carrying products and equipment.
- The booth setup includes items such as a 10' x 10' tent, foldable tables (approx. 4 feet), and bags weighing over 30 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $130.00 per day
Expected hours: 19 – 20 per week
