Title: Sales Account Manager – Conveyor Components FLSA: Exempt

Reports To: Director of Sales-Conveyor Components

General Overview:

The Sales Account Manager – Conveyor Components is responsible for the sales of Benetech Component products and service in the eastern region of United States. They are also responsible for the selection and development of the following sales channels; Distributor, Original Equipment

Manufacturer (OEM), Engineering/Consultant and End Users. This person may also be responsible for managing the Field Service Technician employees who service the accounts in the assigned Territory.

Sales Priorities:

1) Acquiring brand new Benetech customers selling them Components and chemical.
2) Focus on selling Benetech products into diverse industries such as Steel, Cement, Aggregate and Sand, Pulp and Sawmills, and Ports and Terminals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes sales and industry knowledge to sell all of Benetech’s Component products and services.

Sell Benetech Conveyor Components into diverse industries either directly or through distributors and partners.

Expand and manage distributor network in assigned territories.

Utilizes Benetech’s CRM package, SalesForce.com to report, track, and chronicle all aspect of selling activity from lead generation through to the closure of the sale and all related follow up.

Train and build relationships with distributors to ensure Benetech is always “top of mind”.

Develops contacts within different functional areas of new and existing accounts.

Qualifies and generates project proposals for new conveyor component opportunities.

Cultivates relationships with customers and prospects at the right levels to ensuring strong relationships with key decision makers.

Schedules and conducts sales calls with existing customer base and new customer/distributor opportunities.

Partners with, and provide direction when necessary to Field Service Technicians to address existing customer needs and drive new business opportunities.

Leverages Benetech’s “wealth” of industry knowledge by using company’s history of successful projects to close new business opportunities.

Acts as intermediary between Benetech and customer for coordinating customer service issues.

Reviews and analyzes sales reporting information and provides market data including on status of customer’s profitability and competitive activity in the marketplace.

Travel the assigned territory on a "one week out, one week in" basis. Typical "out" week includes 12-16 scheduled appointments from Monday through Friday, or as required due to customer needs. "In" weeks are used to do "call reports", follow-up on previous weeks' calls, quotation follow-up, making local sales calls (3-4 days), preparing the following weeks itinerary.

Domestic Travel 60% of the time requiring the ability to drive and/or fly for extended periods

Performs other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Position requires the general mobility to function throughout the facility and customer work sites

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing/walking

Ability to travel extensively in your territory on a weekly basis

Ability to climb ladders and stairs

Ability to operate/use:

General Office Equipment

Personal Computer

Ability to drive a motor vehicle

Educational/Experience Requirements:

Position requires College Degree or equivalent long term industry experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical or industrial sales

Excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical, and sales skills required

Self-motivated and disciplined with ability to work effectively with little or no supervision

Strong overall business knowledge and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks

Proficiency in Windows Interface and Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, like SalesForce.com

Able to demonstrate a history of stability, accomplishment and success

Experience selling to large industrial accounts and managing sales distribution channels
