The Account Manager provides overall management of client and conducts regular service visits and successful renewals to ensure a solid relationship. Must be able to multi-task, resolve conflict and adhere to deadlines. This position is best suited for individuals that are self-reliant, highly efficient, organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should possess the ability to work with and supervise others while independently managing and prioritizing the workload which is a critical aspect of this position. Small Groups are defined as employers with 2 to 50 employees.

Primary Functions:

§ Oversees marketing and RFP process until completion of renewal.

§ Maintains communication with Account Executive to strategize overall needs of client.

§ Conducts Pre-Renewal visits or calls and provides benefit and plan design strategy.

§ Creates RFP and identifies carriers for solicitation and establishes timelines.

§ Coordinates efforts with Account Coordinator, Carriers or General Agents during renewal process. Provides necessary support for renewal negotiations and review of spreadsheet and recommendations.

§ Conducts regular client meetings with management staff (i.e. Human Resource, CFO or Healthcare Committee) to review service, compliance, education needs or client experience.

§ Conducts employee meetings and prepares communication pieces for open enrollment such as power point presentations and open enrollment alert newsletters (i.e. open enrollment, new acquisition, table time).

§ Handles escalated claim and compliance issues as well as assisting client with internal and external appeals process.

§ Reviews certificates, SPD’s, SBC’s, contracts, plan installation materials for accuracy.

§ Facilitates wellness programs and necessary education.

§ Maintains knowledge of Federal and State regulations and mandates i.e. Cobra, HIPAA, FSA, PPACA, Medicare Part D.

§ Meets with carriers on a regular basis to keep up-to-date with product and benefit plan information.

§ Reviews employee open enrollment changes and manages communication to carriers as necessary.

§ Oversees post enrollment activities and acts as liaison between insurance carriers and client to coordinate transfer of data and final decisions.

§ Updates CRM data base and maintains client dash board to manage work load.

§ Seek opportunities for cross-selling and presents new EBI initiatives and products i.e. 401K, Property Casualty, Employee Navigator, Third Party Technology, Wellness Solutions, Worksite.

§ Proactively identifies areas of weakness/opportunity in employer benefit program(s).

Must have a current Life, Accident & Health License in Arizona.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
