Position Summary:

The Enterprise Account Executive for Sharpen focuses on growing the business and client base. The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales, and profitability objectives for self. Enterprise Account Executives represents the entire range of Sharpen applications and services to, with, and through assigned client accounts. This position offers a base salary, commission, and stock options.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Develop relationships with existing, new, and prospective clients.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold call as well as warm leads.
  • Manage business deals from negotiation to close.
  • Create strategic development plans, including active sales pipeline and implementation, to build new profitable business.
  • Track and report progress with implementation of strategic plan, customer budgets, and ongoing forecasts.
  • Gather information about competitors.
  • Work with Client Success team to onboard new clients.
  • Hits own goals, quotas and expectations for onboarding, supporting, and renewing accounts.
  • Protects Sharpen’s value by keeping information confidential (including but not limited to other Inside Sales Consultants’ performance, unreleased features and/or other privy company information).
  • Maintains and keeps funnel updated – running sales and order reports weekly
  • Provides weekly sales funnel report to Sharpen executive leadership
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates client needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Streamlines sales management through creativity and process improvements
  • Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
  • Preparing written presentations, reports, and price quotations.
  • Achieves quarterly assigned sales quota and onboarding dates
  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability
  • Demonstrates growth in base, quarter over quarter
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Sharpen information assets.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned client accounts as well as colleagues.
  • Work with marketing to drive programs and events to extend the relationships to new prospects.
  • Continually learning about new products and improving selling skills. The Account Executive is required to attend training events throughout the year and expected to participate in self-paced tutorial learning when appropriate.
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum two years of channel or direct sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with C-level and other decision-makers.
  • Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions.
  • Detailed knowledge of and passion for SaaS applications (hands on experience with Salesforce and AppExchange offerings preferred).
  • Strong technical background.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with web based conferencing tools such as Go-To-Meeting, WebEx, etc.
  • Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrable industry knowledge.
