Job Summary: We are seeking a competitive, passionate, and goal-oriented Sales Manager to join our fast-growing construction company. In this role, you will be responsible for building a sales pipeline, developing a high-performance team, and implementing programs, processes and strategies that lead to the continued growth of our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Sales Performance: Create and manage Sales Territories. Maintain responsibility for all sales activities within each territory.
- Customer Base: Establish and strategically build a solid customer base that is satisfied enough to recommend us to their friends and associates.
- Customer Management: Ensure that customers are treated with the utmost respect and ensure that their expectations are met upon completion of their garage.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and motivate a Sales team toward hitting specified sales goals.
- Goal Setting: Set team goals and conduct quarterly performance reviews with all sales team members.
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals. Support company efforts to establish better mill QA processes and management of subcontractors.
- Market Analysis: Perform comparative analysis of other competitive builders in the area.
- Sales Strategy: Distribute leads to team members and assist them through the sales process.
- Training: See below section.
- Marketing: Review current marketing strategies and propose new plans to help reach the company’s 3-year goals.
- Contractual Process: Create and implement a contractual process prior to the production hand-off. Practice Continuous Improvement on this process.
- Project Management: Lead the sales team in their efforts to manage each construction project to successful completion that meets or exceeds customer expectations and minimizes or eliminates multiple attempts to complete each project (one-trip efficiency). This includes helping the Sales staff manage crews to build garages that meet company standards. Develop online database of current building projects for each crew
- Communication: Provide regular updates on prospects, pipeline, project flow, project completions, issues, etc. to company management.
- Paperwork: Ensure accuracy throughout the project cycle to make sure that materials are ordered correctly, garages are built correctly, customers are billed, and payments are received.
- Growth: Beginning with the Milwaukee territory, develop and execute plans to build 50+ Garages in the 2025 season. Expand to other territories on an ongoing basis.
Training:
- Conduct weekly sales meetings, and develop and deliver regular training on new topics such as product knowledge, finance, contracts, project management, etc.
- Assist field sales as they design and bid garages, including foundations, slabs and demolition and excavation. Also assist with permit logistics and strategy as required in various municipalities.
- Develop quality subcontractor base in each individual territory
- Develop practices to increase closing rates and referral retention
- Set and meet individual and team sales goals
- Develop repeatable training/pilot program for new subcontractor crews.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the home construction industry.
- Strong ability to produce sales and train, motivate, and lead a sales team.
- Resistance to the common Sales disease of forgetting that you are a part of the management team of the company and not simply an advocate for the customer. Certainly, customer satisfaction is a key priority, but you are the company’s first line of defense and could be our customers’ first exposure to the company itself. Represent us well!
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and implement effective sales strategies

- Analytical skills to evaluate market trends and sales performance.
- Knowledge of the home construction industry and its current events.
- Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or relevant field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
