The Global Cloud Migration Services Leader will report directly to the Vice President of Cloud Operations & Managed Services, focusing on delivering migrations to the public cloud for large, global clients. This role includes ownership of technical, commercial, and service elements related to cloud migration project engagements. Specifically, this team will be responsible as the single point of contact to:
Work with Go-To-Market (GTM) team to gather the information required to determine the scope & complexity of the migration and to input into the offering & proposal of services needed.
Set customer expectations of the migration process, agree on roles & responsibilities, identify potential hot spots and ensure best practices have been applied.
Manage the infrastructure deployment of the Vantage Platform and the Backup, Archive, & Restore Coordinating and managing cross-functional activities with Customer, TD Consulting, and/or Partner(s).
Manage the data migration and validation, the security & privacy changes, and the workload management setup.
Oversee any performance remediation assistance, manage initial system issues to resolution and the turnover to operations
What You'll Do
Build, develop and manage a team of engagement management & technical experts
Facilitate the creation of an overall playbook for successful cloud migrations, ensuring that this is updated based on the ‘lessons learned’
Capture best practices (including lessons learned) and ensure these are applied to the active migrations
Create an inventory of migrations ensuring that these are scheduled and resourced appropriately across the TD teams and our partners
Develop relationships and governance processes with the relevant Teradata functional areas
Develop relationships and governance processes with the Partners who will be executing the migrations
Define and measure overall customer experience metrics for implementation team success
BS, MBA, or MS in business, technical or professional discipline, or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of experience in technical, commercial, and customer-facing roles including customer services, consulting services, IT Operations, and customer success.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex solution development in a dynamic, high-change environment
Demonstrate industry thought leadership and the ability to influence and build trust at different customer levels
Direct experience leading a technical innovation capability for an organization, such as an innovation center, incubation function, analytic application COE, etc.
An acknowledged and consolidated experience within the data domain (Data Warehouse, BI, Data Management, Data Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Big Data, etc.), being able to create solid and trusted working relationships with customers, understand their business strategy and priorities, and use of data & analytics as an enabler for business growth
Deep insight into the Teradata offerings and service portfolio
Strong understanding & experience with application architecture and digital automation design within an agile development model
A strong understanding of the different customer’s industry, engaging other internal people when additional deep SME capability is required
Experience in transformation process management, being able to lead change management initiatives
Possess good analytical and creative problem-solving skills
