Hercules Forwarding Inc. is an asset based motor carrier with US Headquarters in Vernon CA. Hercules is an award winning general commodities motor carrier, specializing in US to Canada LTL shipments. Hercules provides a safe and reliable transportation solution that customers can depend on. We offer the latest technology and advancements in both rolling stock and our information services. Hercules also provides Customs Clearance on shipments destined to Canada. We are a responsible partner with Canada Border Service Agency, and US Customs and Border Protection.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow, maintain, and manage sales territory
  • Meet or exceed company assigned revenue and shipment goals while understanding the profitability needs of the company
  • Manage existing business accounts and identify and secure new business opportunities from within assigned sales territory
  • Set revenue goals and profit margins
  • Meet with clients in person on a daily basis to assess business needs, manage complex customer transactions, and address client issues
  • Work independently in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly administrative tasks in regards to client profiles, contact updates, call records, pricing initiatives, revenue growth, call planning and other duties as requested by the company
  • Negotiate pricing agreements with clients on the basis of company business needs
  • Develop a working knowledge of company history, policies, pricing, tariff rules, and company scope of operations
  • Compare and contrast company features, benefits, and advantages to those of competitors

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in sales (experience in transportation sales preferred)
  • We’ll consider candidates with experience in operations, as well
  • Knowledge of technical skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, CRM (preferred)
  • Must have a reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform duties of the job from home office
  • Self-motivated, high energy individual who can execute plans of action while completing administrative tasks daily
  • References available upon request

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred, not required)
  • Experience in sales proffered but not required
