Job Responsibilities
General responsibilities will include writing instrument software for automated testing equipment for HVAC electronic controls within the Validation Engineering Group
This Engineer will be accountable for writing test software to ensure that our products are validated to design specifications and requirements. They will have experience in automating Scopes, DMM, Power Supplies, and other equipment. They will work within the Engineering Team to expediently write software to verify these designs
  • Validation Engineer, Electronics, Instrumentation Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineer in Test, Automated Electronic Equipment Testing

  • Provide Instrumentation Software for Validation Testing
  • Create Software to verify product performance meets requirements using LabView, LabWindows or Visual Studio
  • Writing Software for Automatic Testing Equipment (ATE)
  • Programming Oscilloscopes, DMM, and other Scientific Instruments for verification of product performance to requirements
  • Troubleshooting and debugging setups and test equipment
  • Prioritize projects with Validation Team based on team needs and meet commitments
  • Document status reports and communicate to team on observations made during testing
  • Comment Software for re-use and legacy
  • Aggressively work to meet scheduled deadlines and provide inputs to the team to keep the project on schedule
  • Order test equipment and products as needed
  • Maintain lab equipment
  • Establish or follow test procedures
  • Communicate with Design and Embedded Software Engineers
  • Provide status updates to Team and Management
  • Attend design review meetings as needed

  • BSEE – Bachelor of Science of Electrical Engineering, BSME – Bachelor of Science of Mechanical Engineering, BSEET – Bachelor of Science of Electrical Engineering Technology OR CS - Computer Science Degree
  • 5 years of Experience in LabView, LabWindows or Visual Studio with Programming Instruments
  • 2 years of experience in Test Stand
  • Experience with Visual Basic, C, and assembly languages
  • 1 year of experience in Python or Jupyter notebooks
  • 5 years of experience with Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum Analyzers, and other advanced testing equipment
  • 5 years of experience working with Electronics components in a Controls organization
  • Experience with using CAN or CCN communications equipment and tools
  • GPIB Instrumentation communication
  • Ability to express technical ideas clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work within a large diverse group of team members
  • Must be able to travel internationally to Mexico, Canada, India, and China
  • Ability to program in LabView
  • Experience with Environmental Testing Equipment like Thermotron Chamber Controllers, UD Vibration Controllers, RF – Equipment, Rhode & Schwartz
  • Have a background in Statistics or Six Sigma Training
  • MS in Computer Science

Key Accountabilities  * Create customer success plans to drive growth for each account  * Support solution design and technical implementation of current desired integrations as outlined in the customer success plan. * Monitor user adoption and product utilization and create targeted programs to increase engagement and support the agency's change management process. * Build strong relationships between the Miovision product and support teams to ensure continuous resolution of ongoing operational issues as well as product deficiencies that may come up.  * Participate in regular support and health checks to ensure accounts are continuing to derive value from our solutions * Support software renewal and upselling activities  Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level * 5+ years of technical experience; must understand network products * Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients * Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills * Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign * Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support * Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues * Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
