Who You Will Work With
As a Sales Programs BDM you will lead key components of Cisco’s most strategic global Software Buying Program, Whole Portfolio Agreement (WPA BP), and Go-to-Market (GTM) activities to directly drive enablement and offer evolution: Provide cross-functional leadership of sales motions and create enablement content directly related to the offer for Software field sellers Drive sales program management and interlock activities across Sales, Architectures, Business Groups, GOALS, CX, Channels, and other key stakeholders Develop and execute GTM plans for existing and new offers across varied and diverse sales organizations Identify, analyze, and scale best practices across Software, Services, Specialists and GEO teams Develop and deliver executive and senior level messaging on key Buying Program initiatives and performance Provide collaborative leadership across the Global Software Sales and GEO Software Sales organizations to streamline and optimize sales program activities and outcomes Develop and articulate key BP business performance insights including BP Mix, trends, forecast accuracy, growth, and goal attainment Partner with Global Software Sales team to define metrics and determine key insights to guide offer development and evolution Define and manage requirements for sales initiatives and drive alignment between sales, marketing, services, and product. Align BP offers to sales motions and serve as the functional leader for BP content and sales artifacts
Who You Are Must have a high level of business acumen and be able to routinely interface with senior sales and software leaders across the globe Must understand the Cisco sales culture and roles and responsibilities throughout the organization and have 5+ years of relevant sales experience and expertise Must be able to lead cross-functional teams and activities across multiple initiatives Must have an in-depth understanding of Cisco sales motions, metrics, and key performance indicators Must be highly organized with a keen attention to detail Must be able to clearly articulate complex business performance metrics to senior and executive stakeholders including live / in-person, PowerPoint, and written messaging Must be highly adaptable to changing business and functional needs Must be passionate champion of Cisco’s Buying Programs Must have a strong understanding of Software and Buying Program selling motion and offers Must have experience leading market initiatives and programs, ideally in business development or sales Must have experience communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment A Bachelor’s Degree or MBA is preferred with a minimum of 10+ years’ related experience
