Job Description

How would you like to be an employee-owner and not just an employee? Chatsworth Products is seeking a sales professional responsible for achieving regional sales goals and objectives through end-user sales, distributor management, contractor, and consultant support in coordination with various CPI support teams. Develops and implements regional sales strategies towards the improvement of product line penetration, expansion of customer base, and product market share. Applies a complete knowledge of all the organization’s products/services, and policies to develop and grow CPI market share in the assigned territory. Uses specialized training within product/service line(s) to maximize sales efforts.

Territory for this position is Orange County and San Bernardino County to the southern border. Must live within the territory.

This is a base pay plus quarterly sales incentive position.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sells the organization’s products and services by interacting with targeted customers and developing new prospects.
  • Maintains a sales program within the territory based on customers’ estimated requirements.
  • Informs customers of supply and price trends and assists in inventory control.
  • Keeps informed on new products/services and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Responsible for securing and renewing orders, working with CS and TSG, to secure requested delivery dates and engaging in all aspects of selling.
  • Calls on existing or potential customers.
  • Updates all sales activities in Salesforce CRM and reviews with AVP on regular basis.
  • Participates in national and regional trade shows as needed.
  • Makes the organization’s services available to customers.
  • Establishes public relations posture with all accounts and potential customers. Maintains effective working relationships.

Technical Competencies:

  • BA/BS degree in business/technical field.
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years of field sales experience in Voice/Data industry with excellent track record.
  • Knowledge of Information and Communications Transport System in Data Centers, Edge, and Commercial IT spaces as well as the customer base and product distribution channels.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter and team player able to produce consistent sales growth.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, planning, written and verbal skills required.
  • Working knowledge of the following computer software: Sales Force, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ACT, and E-mail desired.
